George Mastras Nominated for WGA Award for Breaking Bad

George Mastras was nominated for a WGA Award by the Writers Guild of America along with the writing staff of AMC's Emmy Award Winning Dramatic Series "Breaking Bad" (created by screenwriter and executive producer Vince Gilligan), where George serves as a writer and executive story editor.  Breaking Bad was nominated in the category of Best New Series for 2008.  The critically acclaimed series is a darkly comedic drama about a struggling high school chemistry teacher who turns to cooking crystal meth when he discovers he has terminal lung cancer and needs to provide financial security for his handicapped son and pregrant wife.  Winners will be announced in simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York on February 7.
